Rihanna - What's My Name?

 

          "What's My Name?" is a song performed by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna taken from her fifth studio album, Loud. Featuring guest vocals from Canadian rapper Drake, the song was released as the second single from the album on October 29, 2010 through Def Jam Records (Universal Music). The electro-R&BStarGate with strong reggae and ska beats. The duo also had a hand in writing the song along with Ester Dean, Traci Hale and Drake. "What's My Name?" impacted on Mainstream and Rhythmic radio stations in the United States from October 26, 2010. song was produced by Norwegian production duo
Critics praised the song as some of Rihanna's best vocal work to date, for the romantic nature of the song and its sexual tones. There was some negative criticism towards Drake's lyrics which included a sexual innuendo about the square root of 69. The single was a commercial success, topping the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 giving Rihanna her fourth number one single of 2010, as well as her eighth of nine Hot 100 chart topper. It also became Drake's first ever number one single. "What's My Name?" was also particularly successful reaching the top five in France, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland and the United Kingdom.
An accompanying music video, directed by Philip Andelman, incorporates a romantic encounter between Rihanna and Drake in a grocery store along with romantic scenes between the pair and Rihanna walking through downtown Manhattan. "What's My Name?" was also promoted with live performances across both sides of the Atlantic, including Saturday Night Live in America and the series seven finale of The X FactorOfcom) for the raunchy nature of Rihanna's outfit. in the United Kingdom.
