It is the fifth single from Perry's third studio album, Teenage Dream by Capitol.[1] "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" in its third week has peaked at number 31 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 39 on the Canadian Hot 100.
The accompanying music video for the single also allowed Perry to debut her alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry.
